INSTALLING STUDENT FILES

The student files necessary for this course are available from http://www.quessing.com.

Follow these steps to install the "HTML 4.0: Part 1" student files:

1. Insert the floppy disk or CD-ROM containing student files into the appropriate drive of your computer.

2. Using Windows Explorer (file manager) or another file management utility, locate the
file on the disk called HTML-1.EXE.

3. Using file manager, copy the HTML-1.EXE file to the Windows desktop on your
computer. (If you are using Windows 3.0 or 3.1, copy the folder to your C: drive.)

WINDOWS 95/98/2000/NT SHORTCUT: place your mouse pointer on top of the folder, click your right mouse button, and select COPY. Then place your mouse pointer on your desktop (or drive C:), click the right mouse button, and
select PASTE.

4. After the HTML-1.EXE file resides on your Desktop, double-click it.
5. A WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box will appear. Click the Unzip button in the upper right corner. DO NOT change any other settings in this dialog box.
6. An HTML-1 folder will automatically be created on your Desktop; all student files will be decompressed and copied to this folder.

All hands-on exercises in this course refer to student files that are archived in the HTML-1 folder on the Desktop.
